In 2014 FERROCAM has realized a handling system that automized the Cylinders Division of Tenaris Dalmine.
FERROCAM supplied 4 air manipulators of big dimensions, equipped with a laser view system, able to move through the various workstations cylinders up to 711 mm in diameter, 13,6 m in length, and weight up to 5 metric tons.
The upkeep is achieved by a couple of electro-permanent magnets.
The movements are automatic and set and controlled through dedicated software.
In 2023 FERROCAM has realized for Matter an air manipulator for bundles of tubes with capacity of 5 t to complete an automatic warehouse installed at a manufacturer in the USA
